Summary
Focus
Over the more than one hundred years of institute history, theoretical electrical engineering has always played a central role. Throughout the years, research on fundamental theoretical topics has been complemented by activities in highly topical areas. Today, the institute’s major focus is placed on smart sensors and their integrated interface circuits. Continuing the tradition of the institute, methods of modern nonlinear network and system theory, as well as current numerical calculation methods for multiphysics field problems, are applied to research and design state-of-the-art sensor systems.
Facilities
The Institute has an excellent laboratory equipment, to cover the current working areas both in research and in teaching. This includes a modernly equipped measuring laboratory, as well as computer labs and simulation servers.
